We at Cloudburst Collective, LLC (“Cloudburst Collective,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) are committed to advancing data equity. By using or accessing Cloudburst Collective’s website, services, conversations, text services, and related features (the “Services”) in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and requirements outlined in this Policy, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information in the following ways.
Information Collected: We collect certain information in order to facilitate your use of Cloudburst Collective’s Services.
Voluntarily Disclosed Information: When you use the Services, you will have the opportunity to provide us with some information directly. For example, some functions of the Services require you to register for an account, where we may ask you for your phone number, name, email address, and zip code (“Personal Information”).
Certain parts of the Services also allow you to upload content (“User Content”) to Cloudburst Collective’s platform, including, but not limited to, photos, videos, and text descriptions. You may upload User Content at your sole discretion, but please note that any User Content you upload and the associated metadata (including, but not limited to, date, time, GPS coordinates, and zip code) may be anonymized and aggregated into datasets. Cloudburst Collective recommends that you do not upload any sensitive personal information, such as your address, information about website accounts, credit card numbers, or your Social Security Number.
Automatically Collected Information: Whenever you interact with the Services, Cloudburst Collective and third party services we work with automatically receive and record information from your browser which may include your IP address, geolocation data, device identification, cookie information, the type of browser you used, or the page or feature you requested. You may be able to change the preferences on your browser or device to prevent or limit your device’s disclosure of information, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of some of our features.

Cookies (or mobile cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on your phone. It may be possible to refuse to accept mobile cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your phone. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain parts of the Services.
Pages of our website and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit Cloudburst Collective and third parties we work with to provide those services to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related app statistics.

We may use the User Content you upload on Cloudburst Collective’s platform to gather, aggregate, and create datasets on flooding information (the “Datasets”). These Datasets may be shared with partner organizations (“Partners”) for purposes including, but not limited to, research and community advocacy. If we share the Datasets with our Partners, we may do so under agreements that promote community interests, limit the uses and sharing of the Datasets, and prohibit the commercial resale of the Datasets.
We may use the User Content you upload on Cloudburst Collective’s platform in social media posts to advertise and promote our Services.
We may communicate with you to verify your account, notify you about certain activity on the Services, inform you of changes to our policies and procedures, or to otherwise facilitate the operation of the Services via (a) SMS (in each case to the phone number you provide); (b) email (in each case to the email address you provide); or (c) a posting to our website, https://www.cloudburst-collective.xyz/.
Disclosure of Information: We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you. We use the companies below for the following:

Data Security & Storage: Both Cloudburst Collective and third parties that we work with have implemented measures designed to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorized access, and alteration. We endeavor to protect the privacy of your account and other personal information we hold in our records and actively work to prevent unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors that could potentially compromise security of user information. But we cannot guarantee complete security.
Modification & Deletion of Information: To access, and, in some cases, edit or delete your name, email, zip code, and phone number, reach out to Cloudburst Collective at info@cloudburst-collective.xyz. You may request that we delete your account and your data from Cloudburst Collective. If you request removal of your information, you may be unable to utilize the Services.
Eligibility: If you are younger than the age of 18, you may not access or use the Services or upload any User Content.
Changes to the Policy: We post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will notify you by the phone number specified in your account. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the beginning of this policy. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date phone number for you.
